Waverly, the new mixed-use development under construction on Providence Road just south of interstate 485, has signed a trio of new tenants.

The include Starbucks, a women’s clothing boutique and a cell phone store. The 90-acre development by Childress Klein and Crosland Southeast includes a Whole Foods, apartments, for-sale houses, an office building and more than 30 other shops and restaurants.

“These signings add to the diverse mix of national, regional and local retailers at Waverly and bring us another step closer to our vision for a walkable, mixed-use destination in south Charlotte,” said Chris Thomas, partner at Childress Klein.

Here’s a look at the newest tenants:

  • Mainstream Boutique has leased 1,392 square feet next door to District 5 Interiors. The women’s retailer that sells clothing, accessories and gift items. The company has franchises in 22 states. This will be the first in Charlotte. Owned by Dawn Talley, it’s expected to open this spring.
