Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 18, 2015 – Charlotte-based commercial developers Crosland Southeast and Childress Klein announced that they have signed CycleBar as a new tenant for the 90-acre Waverly development near the intersection of Providence and Ardrey Kell roads in South Charlotte.

The 3,246-square-foot CycleBar indoor cycling concept provides high-energy music and video graphics, along with rider-specific performance data, in a state-of the-art CycleTheatre. First launched in Boston 10 years ago by brother-and-sister duo Bill Pryor and Alex Klemmer, CycleBar is a luxury boutique fitness studio that promises an exhilarating experience for all fitness levels and provides concierge-level service. Each bike is equipped with body bars to use during the ride to work out riders’ biceps, triceps, shoulders, lats and core.

“We own luxury in all of our studios, offering all guests full service from the elite CycleStar® Instructors to the first-class amenities,” says Jordin Cooper, director of marketing operations for CycleBar.

CycleBar’s Waverly location will be one of eight different CycleBars set to open in North Carolina in the next couple years. The fast-growing franchise is planning to open 100 studios across the country by the end of 2016.

“Part of our vision for Waverly was to provide options that enhance the lifestyle of South Charlotte residents, as well as the professionals who will work in our medical and office buildings,” said Chris Thomas, partner of Childress Klein. “Beyond being a great place to live and work, Waverly will offer fitness, health and wellness options, such as CycleBar, that engage residents and directly impact their well-being.”
