An independent coffeehouse, an ice cream shop and a residential real estate agency are the newest tenants that will soon open at Waverly, the 90-acre mixed-use development in south Charlotte.

Café Moka and Häagen-Dazs signed leases for spots on The Terrace, a public plaza and outdoor dining space that opened last month, according to statement Tuesday from Childress Klein, the firm developing Waverly along with Crosland Southeast. HM Properties has also signed a lease for a Waverly spot.

Waverly is anchored by a Whole Foods grocery store, which opened in May. Other tenants of the development just south of Interstate 485 include apartments, homes, office buildings, a Hilton Garden Inn and dozens of shops and restaurants, including Babalu Tapas & Tacos and DeSano Pizza Bakery.

Here some additional details about the new tenants:

  • Café Moka will open in a 1,358 square-foot space next to Via Roma in December
  • Häagen-Dazs will open in a 1,200 square-foot standalone building on The Terrace in December
  • HM Properties will open in a 2,264 square-foot office, its second office after its SouthPark location. The firm plans to hire 15-20 more agents to work at its new office.
