As Managing Partner of Crosland Southeast, Peter is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. With a significant background in leasing and sales, Peter is passionate about the desired mix of retailers and restaurants which, when integrated with innovative site planning and timeless architectural design, results in exceptional place making. He has participated in the development of over 10 million square feet of retail space throughout the Southeast United States. Prior to the formation of Crosland Southeast, Peter served as President of Crosland Retail where he had supervisory and management responsibility for the company's retail development, management, leasing and acquisition initiatives.

He has over 30 years experience in the shopping center industry and is active on multiple professional and philanthropic boards.

Professional Experience

Tim is a Managing Partner of Crosland Southeast and is responsible for strategic growth, management and capital markets. Prior to the formation of Crosland Southeast, Mr. Sittema served as President of Crosland Investment Services, Crosland's leasing, asset and property management service business unit. From 2005-2009, he served as a Lead Developer for Crosland Retail where he focused on identifying and leading development efforts for new retail and mixed-use opportunities throughout the Carolinas, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Prior to joining Crosland, Sittema served as President for Sittema Properties, Inc., in Colorado. While there he specialized in retail development projects in the Rocky Mountain States including several large land assemblage projects for large format retailers such as Lowe's Home Improvement and grocery-anchored developments. Previously he was a Managing Partner for Sittema-Bullock Realty Partners and Marketing Principal for Trammell Crow Company. Mr. Sittema has over 28 years experience in the shopping center industry.

Professional Experience

Mike is a Partner of Crosland Southeast and focuses on single-tenant build-to-suit developments and grocery-anchored retail developments. Prior to the formation of Crosland Southeast, Mike served as Senior Vice President of Crosland's Retail division where he led the company's expansion into Florida. He also has extensive development experience in Tennessee, Virginia and Georgia.

Previously, Mike served as Vice President of Retail Development for Crescent Resources, LLC where he launched a retail division for the Duke Energy subsidiary. While at Crescent, Mike completed 750,000 square feet of retail with an additional 500,000 square feet in predevelopment, including 16 grocery-anchored neighborhood centers. Previously, he was Vice President of Retail Development for Edens & Avant from 1992 to 1999 and prior to that he was an independent consultant in the field of commercial real estate sales, development and consulting. He has 26 years experience in the shopping center industry.

Professional Experience

James is a Partner of Crosland Southeast and has over two decades of experience in the shopping center industry. He is responsible for generating new retail and mixed-use development opportunities within North Carolina and Virginia, including oversight of site selection, entitlements and anchor tenant procurement. Mr. Downs began his career with Charlotte-based Aston Properties, Inc. serving as a member of the company's retail leasing and development team.

Prior to the formation of Crosland Southeast, Mr. Downs was Vice President of Crosland's Retail division where he led retail development for the company in Virginia and North Carolina. He is considered a leader in the shopping center industry having served in multiple leadership positions with the International Council of Shopping Centers, including North Carolina/South Carolina State Director.

Austin is a Partner of Crosland Southeast and is based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Austin is responsible for our investment and development activities within the Raleigh-Durham region and coastal North Carolina, and works throughout our entire geography on a tenant-driven basis. He also represents select retailers and investors in a brokerage capacity. Prior to the formation of Crosland Southeast, Austin served as Vice President of Crosland's Retail division and Director of Operations for Crosland's Raleigh-Durham regional office.

He began his career in Atlanta, where he built a diverse resume through 5 years of development and commercial brokerage experience. In 2003, Austin moved to Charlotte to work closely with former Crosland CEO Todd Mansfield in a special projects role. He found a passion for retail development and joined Crosland's retail division in 2004.

Barry is a Partner of Crosland Southeast and is responsible for the design, development and construction for the company’s wide-ranging, growing portfolio of projects and oversees the design and construction project management team. He brings an impressive international background to the job. Before joining the Crosland Southeast team, he spent 13 years with American Asset Corp. in Charlotte, most recently as executive vice president, where he was responsible for the development of 3.7 million square feet of retail, office and industrial property. Mr. James also was involved in planning 1,000 acres of mixed use projects in North and South Carolina.

Previously, Barry also worked for Transwestern Investment Co., underwriting more than $250 million of acquisitions and $100 million in development projects. As an architect, he also was part of the RTKL Associates team, the award-winning architectural firm that worked on the schematic design, design development and construction documentation for mixed-use and retail projects across the United States as well as in China, Germany, Korea, Spain and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Haynes has over 25 years’ experience in commercial brokerage and development. Serving as a Senior Vice President, Haynes is responsible for single-tenant retail and shopping center development throughout the Southeast.

Prior to joining Crosland Southeast, Haynes was a Vice President of Development at Pavilion Development Company, where he oversaw the development of many single-tenant build-to-suit projects throughout the Carolinas and Texas. Previous to that, Haynes managed investment sales and big box industrial build-to-suit projects as a Senior Broker at Kirco Development.

Professional Experience

Brad serves as Senior Vice President and is based in the Raleigh office. Brad’s focus is the pursuit of new investment and development opportunities in the Triangle and eastern North Carolina regions, land brokerage, and day-to-day management of key tenant relationships. Brad has extensive experience in the development of medical parks and mixed-use projects, having developed over 200,000 square feet of medical office buildings and several anchored retail projects including Stone Creek Village in Cary, NC, winner of the “2007 Retail Project of the Year” in the Raleigh market.

Prior to entering the real estate development field, Brad spent over 10 years in the design build / landscape architecture industry, and served as Vice President of a general contracting firm specializing in medical development and construction.

Prior to joining Crosland Southeast, Stephanie served as Vice President – Finance where she assisted the CFO with a wide variety of financial modeling, analysis and reporting as well as collaborating on real estate financings and dispositions. Before that she managed the internal budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting functions for ProLogis Trust, a $7 billion publicly traded REIT.

Professional Experience

As Vice President of Acquisitions, Bobby is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and managing acquisition opportunities for Crosland Southeast. He has spent his career focused on real estate development and acquisitions, most recently serving as Lead Fund Manager of UNC Kenan-Flagler’s real estate private equity fund. Prior to business school, Bobby served as Director of US Real Estate for Krispy Kreme, where he managed new store development and asset management for Krispy Kreme’s domestic real estate portfolio. He began his career as a financial analyst and investment associate for Burroughs & Chapin, Inc., a real estate development and investment firm headquartered in Myrtle Beach, SC.

As a Project Manager, Mark oversees day-to-day construction of Stonebridge, a redevelopment of the former Cloverleaf Mall just outside Richmond, Virginia. The one-million-square-foot mixed-use project was recently named Virginia’s Best Public/Private Partnership of 2012 by Virginia Business. Mark also manages construction for the Family Dollar built-to-suit program as Crosland Southeast develops for the fast-growing company.

Mark brings broad experience in project management, having directed design and construction of new pharmacies and renovations for Cannon Pharmacy/Livewell Inc., from lease negotiation to close-out. Previously, he worked as assistant project manager for Shelco Inc. General Contractors.

Prior to joining the Crosland Southeast team, Corey spent over 13 years in the civil engineering consulting industry working with local Charlotte developers and National retailers on small and large commercial developments across North and South Carolina. Corey was responsible for upfront client coordination, site selection, conceptual design, entitlements, construction documents, permitting and construction.

Corey brings extensive experience in project management, site design, site selection and program management having performed a similar role for his previous clients.

Prior to joining Crosland Southeast, Jamie spent over 15 years with a local civil engineering firm as a designer and project manager, where he worked closely with clients from the initial coordination, site selection, conceptual planning, construction document and permitting phase on through construction. Previous to that, Jamie spent 7 years with a survey/engineering firm in Rock Hill, SC.

Chris is Vice President at Crosland Southeast based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and is focused on providing tenant-driven marketing strategies in the retail sector. Chris is responsible for leading site acquisitions for new developments, representing key retailers in site selection and providing investors and landlords in comprehensive marketing strategies. He also sources creative development and re-development opportunities for Crosland Southeast. Chris’ regional focus is in Raleigh-Durham and Eastern North Carolina, as well as throughout our multi-state footprint. Before joining the Crosland Southeast team, he spent 3 years as a landlord broker in the office/flex sector in Raleigh, and 2 years as a retail tenant representative and retail listing broker in Raleigh and Eastern NC.
 
He began his career in Raleigh, where he worked for SunTrust Bank for 3 years in retail banking and as a commercial credit analyst. In 2006, Chris received his real estate license while working at SunTrust Bank and in 2007 started his real estate career.

As Administrative Coordinator for Crosland Southeast, Kristin is responsible for conducting market research for the development team, maintaining the CSERE website and creating marketing collateral and presentations. Kristin has been in the real estate industry for over 22 years. She came to Crosland Southeast from Faison Commercial Real Estate, where she assisted the Sr. Managing Director of Property Management. Prior to that, Kristin worked for Crosland as a Property Administrator for the Leasing Team.
