Mr. Sittema is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Crosland Southeast. In that capacity, he shares responsibility for the strategic growth and capital markets needs of the Company, he provides oversight of the Company’s various development business lines (single-tenant, shopping center, market-rate multifamily and mixed/multi-use) and leads the company’s affordable housing development efforts. With over 40 years of experience in real estate development, Tim is known for his expertise in complex mixed-use developments, often utilizing Public-Private Partnerships to unlock the potential of large, strategically important properties that are under-utilized. His influence in the City of Charlotte has earned him recognition as one of Charlotte’s 10 most powerful leaders by Axios.
Beyond his professional commitments, Tim is passionate about philanthropy and actively seeks to use his real estate platform for community benefit and to expand opportunities for the underserved. He has co-founded or led a number of non-profit organizations that diligently work to end the cycle of generational poverty, providing upward mobility to underserved families throughout our community. In his personal time, he enjoys being with his wife of 42 years, their four children, and six grandchildren.
Prior to Crosland Southeast, Tim led his own real estate development company based in Denver, Colorado for over 20 years.
