Flowers Crossroads is a 28-acre multi-use site anchored by the first Harris Teeter grocery store in Johnston County, just east of Raleigh, NC. The site is located at the center of 3,000 acre Flowers Plantation located on Highway 42, east of Clayton. The area has been developed under a master plan of development since 1986. The 3,000 acres has five miles of road frontage along 42 East, and Flowers Crossroads is the strategically planned center of activity not only for retail but commercial and medical facilities. Flowers Plantation was the first zoned PUD in Johnston County with a reserved residential development density of 7,790 homes and unlimited commercial space. There are 115 active residential subdivisions within a 5-mile trade area which will utilize Flowers Crossroads for all necessity shopping goods. The historical growth of this trade area was 6% between 2001 and 2010 according to Census Bureau data.

We began construction late Fall 2012 and opened Fall 2013. The 53,000 sq ft Harris Teeter has a drive-up pharmacy window and express lane ordering. CVS Pharmacy opened Summer of 2014. Mike Wiggins was the lead developer of Flowers Crossroads.
